Sven Brooks

Born and raised in Lake Charles; he graduated from Sowela in 2014 with an associate degree in Computer Networking. He had no idea that this would bring him to a community of people who shared his passion for anime and science fiction. With over eight years of experience working at numerous conventions, he has combined his expertise to help make CYPHACON bigger and better every year.

He is now taking his role to the next level by being our new Guest Relations Lead during CYPHACON. Additionally, as community coordinator he is responsible for assisting and helping us advertise CYPHACON throughout the southern United States. He is currently expanding his IT career and now living and working in Arizona. His roles now include being a board member for CYPHA LLC and a huge contributing factor in our guest lineup each and every year. Sven comes back to Lake Charles to see his family and to help keep CYPHACON successful.

Some of his favorite hobbies include Collecting Funko Pops! And Anime Figures, Watching Anime and Various Sci-Fi shows, Reading Manga and Light Novels, and Playing Video Games. Working and/or attending conventions is, however, his favorite hobby. The one thing he loves about conventions is meeting new people and sharing geeky/weeb hobbies and discussions with others.
