Anthony Figaro
Anthony Figaro is a writer, creator, and penciler recognized for his self-published graphic novel, God’s Hand, which successfully raised $20,000 through Indiegogo. His career began with Ape Entertainment, where he published his first work, and he later collaborated with Lightning Age Studios to produce Justice City Chronicles. Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Anthony faced personal challenges but found his way back to creativity in 2016, reigniting his passion for storytelling.
His experience includes working on exclusive trading card sets for Topps and Upper Deck featuring Star Wars, Spider-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Deadpool, and the Avengers. Inspired by the vibrant culture of New Orleans, Anthony’s ppppwork combines local legends with modern narratives, particularly in God’s Hand, where local figures like Jean Lafitte and Marie Laveau become modern-day monster hunters.
Currently, he is developing God’s Hand Volume 2 while also working on the trade edition of Justice City Chronicles, which was successfully crowdfunded, printed, published, and distributed through Wolfpack Studios. Anthony’s journey showcases his resilience and dedication to the comic book medium.
