Strangecat Cosplay
Strangecat Cosplay is an ambitious cosplayer with a variety of passions, including cosplay, cats, and comics. Carley, also known as Cat, has been cosplaying and participating in various competitions since 2012. They have been guesting and sharing their cosplay knowledge at various cons since 2018, and even got to guest internationally. They have several awards under their belt, as well as a few Best In Shows. Cat won the Sunshine Qualifier at Megacon in 2024 to go on to compete in the finals for Masters of Cosplay Grand Prix at Megacon 2025.
Strangecat has experience from college studies in textiles and metalsmithing. With a long running interest in theater and costumes, cosplay quickly became a big part of their life.
They have expertise in cosplay electronics, prop making, fabric dyeing, and patterning, and they encourage others to explore outside the box when tackling those difficult cosplay problems.
Cat enjoys designing original cosplays as well, taking on their own interpretations of characters and bringing them to life. When deciding on a new cosplay, they always enjoy a challenge in the art of “how do I make that?”
Strangecat hopes to encourage others to express themselves through the art of cosplay and have fun doing it!
