CYPHACON 2024 – Update #1 – Tickets and Pricing!
Pre Con Updates on Tickets for 2024!
It’s been a few months since we posted but here, we are getting closer to CYPHACON 2024!
SO, with this new update we wanted to give our attendees a few updates on where we are since CYPHACON is very open about our event and how it is run.
First the biggest and most important question that has come up in the past few weeks.
TICKET PRICES:
Let’s break down the process and how you can secure your pass and why we are recommending what we do to purchase before CYPHACON or during that weekend.
Pre-Registration:
For those who want to get your tickets before the show this is your best option for obvious reasons. One is that you can go to either Will Call (Ticket Master) or Pre-Registration Table to get your passes and avoid the lines.
- Buying your passes online. POSITIVES: Ticket Master will allow you faster access going to Will Call and skip the lines. NEGATVIES: Ticket Master does and will dictate the fees they charge, which also brings up the costs of a single or multi ticket purchase by a large figure. (NOTE: As always CYPHACON has no control over any fees associate with TM)
- Buying your passes locally. POSITIVES: Purchasing local means, you get to go to our Pre-Registration Line to bypass all the main lines. Additionally, if you purchase locally, you will get a special CYPHACON Lanyard at badge pickup. Locations currently selling Pre-Registration are Stellar Beans Coffee House and MacFarlane’s Celtic Pub. NEGATIVES: You might have to wait a little longer but you get awesome perks!
REGISTRATION – AT THE DOOR TICKETS!
For everyone else who wants to attend CYPHACON, yes, we will be selling tickets at the door all weekend long starting at 5PM on Friday April 5th. A few key items to remember when purchasing tickets at the Box Office. **NEW RULES ARE NOW IN EFFECT THIS YEAR DUE TO CHANGES AT THE LAKE CHARLES EVENT CENTER**
- DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD ONLY – As of February 2024 the Lake Charles Event Center is a CASHLESS Building. This means any purchases at the Event Center Box Office, Bars or Concession Stands run by the venue will no longer accept cash. Once again CYPHACON is not responsible for fees or any changes that occurred prior to our event.
- NOTE OTHER PURCHASES CAN BE CASH – Purchasing any other items at the Venue including from vendors, celebrities and food trucks still accept cash and will likely prefer it over a card. But those options remain all weekend long.
- Purchasing at the door will also mean longer lines, BUT we have worked out with the Event Center to have more windows open for faster transactions.
- Ticker Prices to fit your ideal weekend or day at CYPHACON. Daily passes are as follows:
- FRIDAY ONLY – $30
- SATURDAY ONLY – $40
- SUNDAY ONLY – $30
- WEEKEND – 3 DAY – $65
- Kids 7-12 – $15 (any day or weekend)
- 6 – Under – ALWAYS FREE
- Military Discount of $5 off any Adult Ticket
So why do you charge so much for your tickets and were does that funding go? Well as many know CYPHACON puts all its money back into our events and into sponsoring local events to help our community grow. The money stays here, in our community. So, our goals have been from day one to give you an event you can be proud of. With this and other factors we had no choice but to increase our passes slightly for this year. For 2024 we decided to NOT increase our prices at the door, this will however change at future events however they will not be overly drastic. This will be due to increasing costs of running the event each year.
To those who have been with us for all these years and understand what we are doing we thank you for everything and your support. Although we are dealing with hardships, we still want to give you something to be proud of and enjoy.
