Pre Con Updates on Tickets for 2023!

It’s been a few months since we posted but here, we are getting closer to CYPHACON 2023!

SO with this new update we wanted to give our attendees a few updates on where we are since CYPHACON is very open about our event and how it is run.

First the biggest and most important question that has come up in the past few weeks.

TICKET PRICES:

Let’s break down the process and how you can secure your pass and why we are recommending what we do to purchase before CYPHACON or during that weekend.

Pre-Registration:

For those who want to get your tickets before the show this is your best option for obvious reasons. One is that you can go to either Will Call (Ticket Master) or Pre-Registration Table to get your passes and avoid the lines.

• Buying your passes online. POSITIVES: Ticket Master will allow you faster access going to Will Call and skip the lines. NEGATVIES: Ticket Master does and will dictate the fees they charge, which also brings up the costs of a single or multi ticket purchase by a large figure. (NOTE: As always CYPHACON has no control over any fees associate with TM)

• Buying your passes locally. POSITIVES: Purchasing local means you get to go to our Pre-Registration Line to bypass all the main lines. Additionally, if you purchase locally, you will get a special CYPHACON Lanyard at badge pickup. Locations currently selling Pre-Registration are Stellar Beans Coffee House and MacFarlane’s Celtic Pub. NEGATIVES: Since we are unable to use Paper Heroes for our Ticket Sales locally only CASH will be accepted, and you will have to wait a little while to get a confirmation email about your purchases.

REGISTRATION – AT THE DOOR TICKETS!

For everyone else who wants to attend CYPHACON, yes, we will be selling tickets at the door all weekend long starting at 5PM on Friday March 31^st. A few key items to remember when purchasing tickets at the Box Office.

• CASH IS KING! Want to save as much money as possible, buy your tickets with CASH. This prevents the Credit Card Transaction fee that is attached to Debit or Credit Card purchases. Once again CYPHACON is not responsible for those fees.

• Purchasing at the door will also mean longer lines, BUT we have worked out with the Civic Center to have more windows open for faster transactions.

• Ticker Prices to fit your ideal weekend or day at CYPHACON. Daily passes are as follows:

• FRIDAY ONLY – $30
• SATURDAY ONLY – $40
• SUNDAY ONLY – $30
• WEEKEND – 3 DAY – $65
• Kids 7-12 – $15 (any day or weekend)
• 6 – Under – ALWAYS FREE
• Military Discount of $5 off any Adult Ticket

Now to the question we have gotten lately and it’s a simple answer to go with it. Why did the prices go up for 2023?  The answer is simply we had no choice, but we did not feel we could pass too much burden on our attendees.

As we all know 2023 is and has been shaping up to be a more expensive year for everyone. At CYPHACON we had to be very careful about having to increase pricing. So, with our Board of Director conversations we have increased the Day passes by only $5 for 2023 and plan to keep these prices locked for the foreseeable future. Weekend passes have always been the value passes, offering you our attendees the ultimate experience for a full 3 days at CYPHACON. Our decision to raise prices by $10 was not only due to many factors, one of them being we as an event need to stay competitive in our market. To allow us to do what we do best and offer you more than just your favorite celebrity encounters but also pure entertainment all weekend a modest bump in the fee was needed. Also which is becoming more evident more and more resources are increasing costs which is passed on to us which means we could not put on this show any other way.

So why do you charge so much for your tickets and were does that funding go?  Well as many know CYPHACON puts all its money back into our event and into sponsoring local events to help our community grow. The money stays here, in our community. So our goals have been from day one to give you an event you can be proud of. With this and other factors we had no choice but to increase our passes slightly for this year.

To those who have been with us for all these years and understand what we are doing we thank you for everything and your support. Although we are dealing with hardships, we still want to give you something to be proud of and enjoy.
